| Well, my brother found a baby squirrel yesterday. It was in my front yard in my mom's flower beds and the cats were surrounding it. It was a little hurt but it turns out not bad and she's ok. She is extremely young, like a week or 2 old so she's still nursing and my dad and I got up every 2 or 3 hours to feed her. She's really cute when she eats from the bottle. She puts one hand on the bottle and goes at it. She is a whole lot better now and fat and contented. Her eyes are still sealed and her ears are folded to her head. I don't have a name for her so if any of you have any ideas give them to me! Thank you! | | |

| Apparently I have forgotten to update everyone about my latest bucking horse incident, whether you care or not. Well, Sammy rode Fancy for the first time. It's in one of the blogs below. Right. Well. Howard decided 2 weeks ago this Sunday that for her second time, since she was my horse, I should ride her. Doesn't sound too bad, right? I've never been on a horse that has been less than 3 yrs old and this green. What's worse is Howard decided to bring one of the other horses into the mix and tie Fancy to Twister's saddlehorn. With a frayed lead rope. Those of you who know about barely trained horses, this is bad. Real bad. Next, there wasn't a cinch that would fit around her belly. She's really small. So the saddle's loose. Really really bad. I had to jump into the saddle. On a young horse. She's already nervous. I had to jump fast before she moved but she moved anyway and I wasn't ready for it. My heel went into the back of her belly by her flank. You know the spot whether you think you do or not. If you've ever been to a rodeo and seen bucking horses, I hit the spot they put the rope at to make them buck. Yikes. So she bucked. She didn't buck to hard or at least she's small enough to where it didn't feel like it. I couldn't get my balance anyway. I knew that and I had to get off. She was tied to a lead rope right? Bad situation. She almost bucked into Twister. I was getting out of there. I slid off her back into the sand (I didn't land gracefully, on my face). What I didn't know was that she chose that moment to break the lead rope and go gallavanting around the round pen. She went my way. I felt her land on me the first time but not so much. I knew I'd better move though. So I rolled out of her way. Only, it wasn't out of her way. I rolled over and saw 4 hooves in the air. Literally, right over me. I could only get on my back and cover my head. Good thing too. She landed on my arms 4 times and I still have major bruises almost 2 weeks later even though they don't hurt anymore. She also landed on my leg once, on my wrist (the hurt one right on my joint), and she clipped my head. I had a pretty big bump for about a week and a half. It still hurts a little. It was amazing! You know in cartoons bumps grow in like 5 seconds? It really happens! The bump was there immediately. That's all I have time for now. It took a while. I'll try to update tomorrow. | | |
| The MRI was very strange. They put me halfway through a tube with my wrist sticking out on a pad. I had to stay in one position and not move no matter how uncomfortable I got for 30 minutes. There couldn't be the slightest movement. Even barely crossing my feet gave movement and they had to take the shots all over again. It was tedious!! The cd of the shots was supposed to be sent to Dr. Evans today. I can only wait now. Fancy is doing really great. Sammy made her mouth really sore so we can't use a bit anymore. She is ridden with a halter. I like that better anyway because now I get to ride her with a hackamore. That's what I wanted to do anyway. I seriously thought about just graduating from high school and going straight into becoming a full time horse trainer and loper today. It's not what I really want to do though. I would regret not going to veterinary school. Anyway, I can't think of anything else to say and I want to go to Wal-Mart, so...
